Scotland Black and White Fine Art Photography Gallery is a collection of high definition black and white prints made in the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye. These prints use digital technology to replicate the look of film prints Sam Dobrow formerly developed in the wet darkroom; esp fine grain Ilford film with warm tone paper and developers. What makes these prints so amazing is the detail and the size. Larger prints (over 20×30) are comprised of several shots seamed together to create a larger panorama without sacrificing any of the details. Visit the Panorama Gallery for very large (over 48″ wide), high definition black and white (and color) panoramic prints.
Watch a video of Sam Dobrow’s artist talk about the Scotland – Faith and Fortitude portfolio. Sam explains his overall inspiration for the portfolio and goes into details about every picture in the collection in this thirty minute talk for Atlanta Celebrates Photography 2020.
