We are excited to announce that renowned photographer Sam Dobrow will be exhibiting his latest works during Miami Art Week 2025. This special series of events will highlight Sam’s distinctive infrared black and white photography from his acclaimed fine art book, “Infrared Worlds,” which has received excellent reviews and was recently featured in Dek Unu magazine (October 2025). Several individual works have also been honored with awards, making this a must-see showcase for photography enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Miami Art Week Must-See Events
With Miami’s classic “winter weather” art collectors from around the world are descending on Miami and Miami Beach for Art Basel and Miami Art Week. The city will be bustling with art events and private parties. Sam will have a limited number of VIP tickets. If you are interested in attending some of the events, send Sam a note with your full contact information and he will get back to you once complimentary tickets are available (priority will be given to prior customers).
- The Official Miami Art Week Kickoff Party™ and VIP Invitation-only Vernissage will take place on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at The Biltmore Hotel, located at 1200 Anastasia Ave, Coral Gables, FL. Join an exclusive evening to celebrate the opening of the week’s events.
- Panel Discussions hosted by Miami Art Week and Art Coral Gables will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Ave, Coral Gables, FL. Sam Dobrow will participate in a panel discussion with details to be announced soon.
- PhotoMIAMI Fair Preview will run from Tuesday, December 2 through Thursday, December 4, 2025, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM daily at The Miami Art Week Gallery, 2300 N. Miami Avenue, Miami, FL.
- The official PhotoMIAMI VIP and Exhibitor Reception and Opening, by invitation only, will be held on Friday, December 5. The fair continues with regular hours on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- MONAD NYC group exhibition featuring Sam Dobrow and other artists will be hosted at Emporium B Gallery, 101 NE 54th St, Miami, FL 33137, on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Sam will be exhibiting several compelling black and white photographs from his “Emotive Portraits” portfolio as part of this group show.
- House of Mystique is an invitation-only, hauntingly sensual exhibit of original prints from Sam Dobrow’s Mystic Collection staged throughout a 100 year old private residence in Coral Gables. The surreal figurative art will be paired with antique art and collectibles to create a unique time-warping experience. All items will be available for purchase. Private viewings are available by appointment starting Tuesday November 25 followed by an evening “After Basel” reception soon to be announced.
About Sam Dobrow’s Work
Sam Dobrow’s photography is a journey through light, shadow, and surreal dreamscapes. Drawing inspiration from early influences like Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Jerry Uelsmann, and the digital advances embraced at the Art Institute of Atlanta, his work melds classical fine art photography techniques with innovative digital manipulations. His signature use of infrared black and white imagery, combined with surreal elements and cross-processed color palettes, creates photographs that transcend reality while remaining firmly rooted in authentic camera art.
Sam’s artistic vision explores themes of beauty, fantasy, sensuality, and eroticism, enriched by his fascination with nature, the universe, and the feminine form. Employing digital tools like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Nik Silver Efex, he masterfully layers and transforms images to evoke both nostalgia and imagination. This blend of traditional and contemporary techniques results in artworks that invite viewers to explore new realms and emotional depths.

Throughout the Miami Art Week events, original signed and serialized artworks will be available for purchase, each accompanied by certificates of authenticity.
