Thursday Night: Scotland Exhibit at CGAF Gallery

If you already sent your RSVP then this is just a reminder. If you havent, then mark your calendar and plan to attend Sam Dobrow’s Scotland photography event at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery in the heart of Coconut Grove.

This exhibit will take you to to some of the most beautiful and breathtaking views of Scotland. When you see the views around St Andrews, you’ll understand how the game of golf originated in these hills. You’ll feel like a real Scot listening to Kenny Ahern of the St. Andrews Pipe Band of Miami play the bagpipes while sampling some of Scotland’s best single malt whisky from Glenfiddich. We’ll also have a real treat as Cheryl Gowing from The Scottish American Society of South Florida shares some collectibles from her Scottish heritage.

For those photo bugs out there, I have a special offer from my friend and mentor Mark Maio who organized the photo expedition to the Isle of Skye where many of these amazing photos were made (but you have to be at Thursday night’s exhibition to find out about it).

On top of all this, our neighbors at Miami’s best Indian Restaurant, Bombay Darbar, will be providing small bites to stimulate the appetite! Did you know the first golf course outside Brittan was in Calcutta, India?

I hope you’ll take advantage of special event pricing on my leporello. The entire collection of 25 chromogenic prints on exhibit is available in a limited edition boxed collection; a great opportunity for photography collectors.

It will be a fun night for all! Don’t miss this one night event, 6 PM to 9 PM, this Thursday, May 24, 2018!

Please RSVP [here] so we can plan the spirits and food. You will receive a confirmation email with additional event information and where to park in Coconut Grove.

Slange var (pronounced “SLAN jay VA” is a Gaelic toast which means “Good Health” or “to your good health”)

By the way, did I mention I’ve been working for days with Lilia Garcia at CGAF to install the exhibit? See you Thursday night!
